Fall 2011 Schedules Available… No, Really!

Well, as usual, I’ve been sucking lately at updating BUSIPlus. Rest assured, though – we haven’t given up! The Fall 2011 schedules are now available. Please let us know if you have any issues with them. Our humblest apologies for being so behind on this.

We have also fixed an issue with the course descriptions. They should now be available for most of courses. Nice to have links that work when you click them, huh?

Winter, Spring, Summer 2011 Schedules Finally Posted

Many apologies that this has taken so long this semester, but we have finally updated the schedules on BUSIPlus to include Winter 2011, Spring 2011, and Summer 2011 classes. We will not take this long next time – it was just a lot of poor timing on my part, and the inability to easily access the database remotely over the last month prevented this from getting done in December . You will find all of the latest updates to your schedules online now. Please let us know if you discover any errors.

Summer, Fall 2010 Schedules Now Available

Spring 2010 Schedules Now Posted!

The Spring 2010 course roster is now up! Please make sure to notify us by either using the feedback form or sending an email if you find any errors!

Also, we’ve noticed that the course descriptions are broken. We are looking into the best way to bring those back, as BU Brain seems to lack consistency these days. We’re also looking into what to do to restore the grading option (letter vs. pass/fail) information into BUSIPlus. We’ll keep you updated once we figure out what to do for both of these issues.

Spring 2010 Schedules Coming This Weekend

Just a quick note that we are currently working on adding in the Spring 2010 schedules to BUSIPlus. There have been a couple of small issues that need to be fixed (thanks, BU Brain…), but we should have it up and running by Monday. Once we do, we’ll post an update on the blog, so make sure to check back here!

It’s been a quiet few months for BUSIPlus. But don’t worry – we’re still working on it. Just very slowly… Anyhow, you can now view Summer and Fall 2009 schedules on BUSIPlus! Visit BUSIPlus to search classes and build your new schedule today! Please let us know if you find any problems with the new schedules.

Winter 2009 Schedules Available & Minor Improvements

For anyone looking for them, Winter 2009 schedules are now available, along with an updated version of the Spring 2009 schedules. Now that a couple of quirks with the updater have been handled, we should be able to run it more often.

We’ve added some minor enhancements to the BUSIPlus schedule builder. First off is the new course descriptions we’re linking to, which now include actual summaries. Now, we are also linking each CRN to its own description, as the BU system shows different descriptions for each section. Also in the section view, if you hover over the room number, a tooltip will help you decode the abbreviation. There are a few minor tweaks that have been made to the way things are displayed, most notably that the grid is now turned on by default for schedules.

Please keep providing us with suggestions, and we will continue to make incremental updates as quickly as we can.

Spring 2009 Schedules are Here! (now with CRNs)

Hey everyone! We’ve updated the BUSIPlus database to include classes for the upcoming semester. We have also added in the newest departments, so you should have access to all classes available on campus this semester!

You may also notice that CRNs are now showing up when you browse for courses on BUSIPlus. We realize that they are extremely handy for registration. We will try to get CRNs showing up on your schedules as well in the coming days. It’ll just take a bit of effort to come up with a backwards-compatible solution.

See any schedule errors on BUSIPlus? Give us a shout, and we’ll take care of it ASAP! We think everything’s good this time, but with over 11,000 entries, it’s hard to guarantee it.
